Thanks to whistle-blowers, more facts have come out regarding the September 11th Benghazi attack. Although there's been a virtual black-out by many news organizations.
We now know the White House engaged in a coordinated campaign to lie to the American people. Two weeks after the attack -- and in his September 25th address to the UN -- the president falsely blamed a shoddy You Tube video. Six times. [The complete transcript of Obama's remarks is here.]
These are the facts. During the attack, there was a live video feed from a drone flying overhead. And an open phone line from the consulate. Messages were sent to the Office of the President moments after the attack began including one that reported Al Qaeda ally Ansar al-Sharia claimed responsibility.
There's a report the president watched from the White House Situation Room as the 7-hour battle took place. Three times there were pleas to send help from the CIA detachment a mile away. Each was denied. Only the president has the authority to approve such requests.
