Behind the Headlines Video
U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was gunned down in 2010 with a gun from “Operation Fast & Furious.” So were 200 Mexican citizens. (U.S. Immigration and Customs
Enforcement Agent Jaime Zapata may have also been shot dead with “Fast & Furious” weapons.)
Fast & Furious was a Justice Department operation. The official explanation for it makes no sense. The more likely reason is frightening. [Documents reveal the Obama Administration wanted to use Fast & Furious as justification to enact stricter gun ownership laws.
But let’s put this aside for the moment. Some of you may be hearing about Fast & Furious for the first time. This is because major press outlets have been trying to bury the story for two years. Except for Sharyl Attkisson, investigative reporter at CBS. We should throw her a parade for exposing the scandal.
Until a few days ago, NBC has never reported on it. They were forced to once it became apparent Attorney-General Eric Holder perjured himself before Congress (here, here, here, here & here). And now there’s a White House cover-up. Ironically, Holder’s DOJ charged baseball player Roger Clemens with lying before Congress.
Let's get back to NBC News. This is the organization that edited a 911 call to drastically alter what Florida’s George Zimmerman had said making him appear racist. [Nearly identical edits to drastically alter the conversation between George Zimmerman and the 911 operator were made by the NBC Today show (here) and the NBC-owned Miami television station WTVJ-TV NBC 6 (here).
Andrea Mitchell used a deceptively edited video to try to embarrass Mitt Romney. But another video recording exposed the NBC deception.
